Obama was holding 8-month-old Cooper Wagner for a picture while visiting military families in Hawaii when the child tried to get the president to eat him.
With an election coming up, babies are likely to become more popular with the candidates. In June, the president was able to soothe a baby who could not be consoled by the first lady.
Obama took Cooper's hand good-naturedly, laughing as the cameras caught the moment.
